Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cove ("the Bot", "we", "us"), including the Discord bot and the web dashboard at covebot.app. By using Cove, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and that you agree to be bound by these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of Cove after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Use of the Service

Cove is a Discord bot and companion dashboard that provides moderation, economy, leveling, and community tools for Discord servers. You may use Cove for lawful purposes only.

You agree not to use Cove to:

• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm any individual
• Distribute spam, malware, or malicious content
• Attempt to exploit, reverse engineer, or interfere with Cove's systems
• Use automated tools to abuse Cove's features or API
• Engage in any activity that is illegal under applicable law

3. Server Administrator Responsibilities

If you add Cove to a Discord server, you are the server administrator and are responsible for how Cove is configured and used within your server. You are responsible for ensuring your server members are aware that a bot is collecting data (such as XP, economy balances, and moderation records) as required by applicable law.

We are not responsible for misuse of Cove's features by server administrators or members.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Cove offers free and paid subscription tiers (Pro and Enterprise). Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service in addition to these Terms.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred
• Downgrading or cancelling a subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days notice

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Cove at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, Cove, or third parties.

You may remove Cove from your server at any time by kicking the bot from your Discord server. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Cove is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that Cove will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use Cove at your own risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cove and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or server disruption.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible.
